Many people have witnessed an animal that is helpless or has been abused and turn their head the other way due to not knowing how to help.

Animal shelter employees and volunteers base their whole lives on helping animals in need. Not every human can do this but there are many ways that every person can help.

Donating to Animal Shelters and Charities

Organizations that help animals in need offer different resources to help save animals.

  1. This organization accepts donations, signing of a pledge to prevent animal cruelty and resources to learn more about animals and cruelty to animals.

  1. Humane Societies are all over the United States of America.
  2. This organization accepts donations, volunteer work and resources to learn more about animals and how to confront animal cruelty.
The A.S.P.C.A and the Humane Society are two of a numerous amount of different organizations that help animals and try to prevent animal cruelty. Donating to save an animal is easy and has been made very simple.

Animal specialty stores, grocery stores and some convenient stores are three different places that accept donations for local animal welfare groups.

How to Recognize Animal Cruelty

Animal cruelty happens in many different forms but there are nine main examples on how to detect it:

  1. Tick or flea infestations.
  2. Wounds to the body.
  3. Patches of missing hair.
  4. Extremely thin = starving.
  5. Limping.
  6. Owner striking or physically abusing animal.
  7. Animals who are repeatedly left alone with out food or water
  8. Animals - such as dogs - who are left outside in extreme whether conditions and chained up.
  9. Animals who show fear or act aggressively when approached by their owners.

Personally Preventing Animal Cruelty

One major aspect in preventing animal cruelty is to adopt an animal. Animal adoption organizations - the Humane Society, etc. - are easy to find which makes adopting an animal very simple.

When adopting an animal, there is most generally an adoption fee that will go towards helping all of the other animals that have not yet been adopted.

Another way to personally prevent animal cruelty is to call a local animal organization when animal cruelty is witnessed.

Animals are left astray too much. When seeing an animal with out a collar that is wondering around helplessly, one needs to either get the animal and start caring for it or call a local animal shelter. Turning the other cheek is not an option in this situation.

To reader about bebe gun:
Sorry I am getting back to you a few weeks after your comment. I would first talk to your neighbor. Tell him how you feel in a calm and mature manner. If it keeps happening then I would bring law enforcement into it.
